I am becoming a teacher because I like kids and I like English. My English teachers always seemed like they were enjoying themselves. I don’t like corporate America. It seems like a good fit. Simple enough.

I like to play ping pong and if anyone wants to challenge me, I’m down to play. I have a pet bunny. His name is Mr. Bixby. Here he is:

I like to swim and read and go to new restaurants with my friends.
Music is a big part of my life and although I don’t play anything anymore, I love going to concerts and would probably hate life without my iPod. Some of my favorite bands are Brand New, Cursive, Incubus, Death Cab for Cutie, Sufjan Stevens, The Shins, Minus the Bear, Bayside, As Tall as Lions, Dispatch, Guster, Eric Clapton, Sublime and a million more. I like all genres of music except for Country.

The best thing I’ve ever eaten is dutch apple cheesecake from Cafe Intermezzo. I love dessert and miss living in Atlanta because the hot fresh doughnuts from Krispie Kreme are now no longer within driving distance.
I live in a log cabin. There is a wooden canoe in the rafters. I’m not kidding.
I like to talk and I would go on forever, but the number one thing I will remember from my first day of graduate school yesterday is Dr. Levy saying, “Don’t be boring.”
